Our story

Big Ben's Home Court

While he was in the midst of his Hall-of-Fame career with the Detroit Pistons, Ben Wallace wanted a facility in his Richmond, VA hometown. Big Ben's Home Court was established in 2010 and has played host to thousands of basketball activities: Pro-am leagues, adult leagues, youth leagues, tournaments, showcases, clinics and camps. BBHC has also diversified to serve other activities like futsal, wrestling, boxing, cheer & dance, birthday parties and other private functions. Over 200,000 people are visiting BBHC annually to play, watch, educate and socialize, establishing itself as a pillar in the Richmond, VA community.

VAIL Sports

As each generation ages from youth to adulthood, sports have always been the outlet that allow adults to hold onto their youth. Whether it is spectating, coaching, or playing. In 2009, VAIL (Virginia Adult Intramural League) filled the void for adult basketball players in the Richmond region. By launching a website that would allow players to follow stats, standings, box scores, game predictions and more, the league took off quickly. After expanding and outgrowing multiple facilities in the area, Big Ben's Home Court became home to the VAIL Basketball League in 2012. The program now sees over 200 men's teams participate annually. The program offers three sessions - Winter (February - April), Summer (June - August) and Fall (October - December).
